I want to live in a world where each person only uses what we need, respecting nature as the source of everything. Where there are serious consequences when a person or a corporation damages any part of nature that we collectively enjoy. What would this take?
honestly we need a rapid evolution in consciousness but some mass strikes and non-violent action would be a good immediate step. We are far from that right now i am afraid
The $778 billion defense bill just passed the house with very bipartisan support, will be passing the senate shortly (Oh, and this was $25 billion than the pentagon even asked for). This is for ONE year of "defense", and doesn't even cover all the knock on costs. But a reinvestment in our country and people for $3.5 trillion over ten years is too much.
Hard to stay calm as things proceed. The rough beast slouches onward.
